IPCop Celeron-M Firewall Appliance
IPCop Firewall. 1Ghz Celeron-M (upgradable to 1.5Ghz PIII). 4 x LANS (optional Gigabit). 10-250 users. 25Mbps 3DES IPSec. 40Mbps AES IPSEC
IPCOP is a Linux distribution designed specifically for firewalls and VPN gateways. It also includes an IDS (Intrusion Detection System), which logs in possible attacks against the internal network or the firewall itself. The CI852A-based OpenBrick-E, Lex Neo, Lex Twister, and 1U Server are perfect hardware platforms for this dedicated purpose. Their four (4) LAN interfaces partition the network into three zones: WAN (Red), LAN (Green) and DMZ (Orange). They also have a MiniPCI socket for wireless expansion.
Notes:
- The OpenBrick-E is only capabe of operating fanless at 1Ghz Celeron-M CPU speed. Higher CPU speed requires a fan.
- The 1U server is normally set up with a CPU fan.
